| Flax and linseed oil are a wonderful source of Vitamin E. Research in Germany and Austria conclude that linseed stimulates the immune system, inhibits the growth of cancer cells and controls both cholesterol and hypertension. The seed also acts, like psyllium, to help cleanse the intestinal tract. As well as eating the sprouting flax seed, you can blend the unsprouted seed into a meal and add it to fruit juice. Use in salads, stir frys and sandwiches. |
